Rewind to April 2011, when my fiancé (now husband), my parents and I visited the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club as a prospective wedding venue for our May 2012 date. Despite the rainy and grey April Saturday, I fell in LOVE. I knew this was the place we had to have our wedding! (Photo from our visit in 2011) I recall attending the Beach Club's Bridal Show in 2012, and knew first-hand how wonderful their events were! When I caught word of this year's upcoming show, I knew I wanted to get involved, and was thrilled and honored to become a vendor. I was excited to be back at my wedding venue to showcase Eikoh Design Studio...and the planning would begin! I spent the weeks leading up to the show designing sample pieces and new marketing & promotion materials, as well as using social media outlets and the hashtag #bowtiesandbubbly to spread the word, as well as connect with other vendors. Fast forward to January 3, 2015...I kicked off 2015 with the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club's Bow Ties & Bubbly wedding soiree! Not only did we meet so many sweet couples and their families & friends, were we able to showcase our line of completely customizable gifts, that are perfect for weddings (as gifts, favors, and special keepsakes for all), and lots of other occasions! Eikoh Design Studio gave away a pair of Bow Ties & Bubbly "Bride" & "Groom champagne glasses. Brides and Grooms that stopped by to chat with us were also entered to win a pair of their very own personalized glasses! Congratulations to winners on your prizes and everyone's upcoming weddings. As a vendor in the Beach House Ballroom I was able to participate in a styled shoot—my first of I hope many more—and was so excited to see the behind the scenes of the work of many talented vendors. Thank you to Carly Fuller for capturing some awesome images of our custom glassware. A shout out to Sarah Campbell, from Intrigue Design & Décor for her assistance in the time leading up to the show and for lending me her "donut wall" to use as my booth backdrop. My set-up was more than I could have imagined it would have been—THANK YOU! A big thanks to my husband Brian for putting on this bowtie and assisting me throughout the day (set-up, clean-up, marketing and more). It was so great to be back at the Beach Club, and back in the Beach House Ballroom where I was married. I truly enjoyed my first wedding show—and was honored to participate and be surrounded by so many respected and talented vendors. I look forward to the rest of 2015, and seeing where the new year will take Eikoh Design Studio. |
